About Me

Hello, thanks for stopping by “Kitchen Tales”.  This is Archana Shenoy, a student of economics and a teacher by profession, a homemaker and a mother of two angels :)

Born in a Konkani Brahmin family, I hail from Ernakulam in Kerala. I have been familiar with knives, spoons and ladles from an early age. Thanks to my dear mom for introducing me to the culinary world during my school days and to my grand mom who later nurtured these skills.

The institution of marriage happened to me while I was in college. I continued taking culinary classes from my mom-in-law who is an expert herself !

After completing my college, I was transported into this wonderful, modern desert city of Dubai to join my hubbie & manage a home. Here I had a kitchen of my own and soon I turned it into a laboratory for recipe experiments. My dear hubby, my support, my confidence, my pillar of strength, encouraged every step of mine. He praised the good ones and gave tips on improving the not so good ones.

Years passed by and I became more and more passionate about cooking and started enjoying every bit of it. Then the beautiful phase of motherhood crept in. This gave me the challenge to come up with dishes that the kids would love to eat.

Couple of years back I joined a successful online food group called KKAJ, that further honed my skills in cooking and food presentations.

With so many recipes in hand, my hubby encouraged me to have a blog of my own. His wholehearted support boosted my confidence and I decided to give it a try. Soon I started working on it and today “Kitchen Tales” has turned into a reality.

My blog consists of pure vegetarian recipes learnt from my mom, mom-in-law, Grand Mothers,  friends, relatives, blogs, food groups and from my own experiments. Please do try them. I would love to hear your feed back on them.

I extend my special gratitude to my sister, my co-sister, my brother, my aunt,  and all the members of the KKAJ family in supporting me in this endeavour.

Good Luck & Keep Cooking!!!
