Eggless Wheat And Honey cake is a low calorie, butterless, sugarless and eggless cake. Easy to make recipe, comes out soft and spongy anf its one  which everyone including the kids, will relish.
This cake is a special dedication to my Dear Sister Gayatri Praveen Kamath on her Birthday Today. We grew up,laughed, smiled, cried and played together. We have so many special and unforgettable memories. I got into this world of posting in food groups, food photography and blogging after seeing her wonderful food posts. She has been very encouraging and a strong motivation.
This cake is one that I learnt from her. The recipe is adapted from Here. The original recipe uses maida/ all purpose flour. But Gayatri made it healthier by adding wheat flour instead of maida. Hope you will like it. This one for you Gatti :) Thanks for being there :)

Wheat Flour - 1 cup
Baking Soda - 1 tsp
Baking Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Honey -  3/4 cup
Milk - 3/4 cup luke warm
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 1/4 cup
Vanilla essence - 1 tsp
Nuts - chopped for garnish
(I used walnuts)
Method:
- Preheat oven at 180 deg for 10 minutes.
 - Take a large bowl and combine honey and milk. Mix till well blended. I used an electric beater. But a hand beater should also be fair enough.
 - Once blended well, mix in the vanilla essence and oil and blend again.
 - In another bowl mix together wheat flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
 - Stir in the flour mix little by little into the milk and honey mix.
 - Mix well to form a smooth mixture.
 - Blend well, so that there are no lumps.
 - Chop walnuts or any other nut of your choice and keep aside.

- Grease a deep pan of your choice with oil and dust it with flour.
 - Pour the cake mixture in the pan, garnish well with chopped nuts.
 - Bake for about 20 - 25 mins.
 - Mine was done in 20 mins. The baking time depends on the power of your oven.
 - Insert a tooth pick or a cake tester in the centre and if it comes out clean, your cake is done.
 - Once done, allow it to cool a little and transfer on a grill rack.
 - Allow it to cool completely before slicing.
 - Your wheat and honey cake is ready to serve.

Note:
- Do not over mix the batter.
 - Use the exact measurements.

Happy Cooking!!!
